Functions:

Use knowledge in Material Science to participate in the development of innovative manufacturing processes, for a cost-efficient resist for nanoimprint lithography (NIL)

-Develop novel coating formulations for alternative cooling photonics technologies complying with requirements (high temperature, outdoor conditions, anticorrosion)

-As part of a dynamic team, take into consideration the design requirements for the formulation of the new resist.

-Drive implementation of new resist on cooling photonics technologies

-Evaluate adhesives and implementation methods

Engineer/Scientist

Talented research and development professional with Photonics degree or similar (preferred master, PhD)

with initiative, curiosity, and rigorous methodology. Experience on photonics, modelling and theoretical description of light matter interactions, heat transfer.

Functions:

-Use knowledge in Photonics to participate in the theoretical design and experimental characterization of photonic materials for cooling.

-Assist the Material Scientist in the development of the resist by modelling with FDTD the optical properties of the material to optimize dimensions and structures.

-Carry out simulations involving radiative, conductive and convective heat transfer for performance prediction.

-Develop a coupled model that include the optical and thermal components, to describe the radiative cooling performance of a cooling photonics film. Optimize dimensions and structures.

-Model the thermal performance on the different applications scenarios. Participate in the thermal design and analysis of thermal experiments.

Research Engineer in Nanoimprint lithography

We are looking for a motivated research engineer to contribute to solve the challenges of scaling-up our micro-and nanoreplication processesfrom a current batch-to-batch imprint lithography to large-area fabrication through pilots with the industry.Ideally, the successful applicant has experience in nanotechnology and nanofabrication. The main goal is to a to implement a solution to scale-up our current micro-and nanoreplication processes based on batch-to-batch imprint lithography to a method suited for large-areas with high throughput. The applicant will participate in a project involving interactions with industry, market and research. Planning, experimental method development, instrumentation, carrying out of planned and new experiments, analysis of data and reporting of results are an integral part of the activities associated with the position.

Functions:

- You will use your expertise in optics and in nanoimprint technology to contribute to carry out a pilot project where a surface of few m2must be covered with a patterned material using imprint UV lithography.

- You will participate in the conception and the design of an implementation for printing a patterned film on a surface of few m2.

- You can rely on the processing and analysis tools in our cleanroom facilities and associated laboratories.

- You will contribute to design, plan and carry out pilot tests with big industry players, providing valuable inputs for the analysis of experimental data and the reporting of results.

- You will perform the optical characterization and physical testing, evaluation of performance, durability and reliability testing and document the process, characterizationand the assessment of the results.
